Coffee.

Could coffee help maintain your physical condition as you age?

Researchers in Switzerland and the National University of Singapore have discovered that the natural molecule trigonelline present in coffee can help to improve muscle health and function.

Sarcopenia is a condition where the ageing process gradually weakens the muscles in the body and leads to a loss of muscle mass and strength.

Researchers found that levels of trigonelline were lower in older people with sarcopenia. So increasing the amount of trigonelline in the body could contribute to the maintenance of muscle function during aging.

Nutrition and physical activity are important lifestyle recommendations to maintain healthy muscles during ageing.

What Walking Speed Says About Aging

If your walking slower than you used to, it could be a sign your aging faster than you think!

A study found that the walking speed of a 45 year old could indicate speed the physical and neurological aging.

Your gait appears to not only be an indicator of aghing but also your brain health. And that deminishing walking speed in those over 65 could indicate an increased risk of dementia.

We all take walking for granted as a form of exercise but it requires your whole body to work in unison. By keeping healthy and exercising you will improve your overall health and improve your walking speed..
