Coffee Time

I found myself in Marylebone at the weekend, so being a subscriber to the Magazine I headed over to Chiltern St for a coffee at the Monocle cafe. Its a stylish little coffee stop with great pastries.

Marylebone is a lovely part of the capital thats well worth a visit and if you do drop by for a great cup of coffee

Health & Fitness

Fitness - Why your grip strength is important!

The strength of your grip serves as a significant indicator of your overall well-being.

Grip strength naturally begins to decline around age 50, and maybe even earlier. People who maintain their grip strength age more slowly. They stay healthier longer and have stronger bodies in general.

Generally you lose strength as your muscle is replaced by fatty tissue, the process is called sarcopenia. If you are losing strength in your hands and arms its an indication of whats happening to the rest of your body.

To offset this process its not just a case of exercising your arms but a more generalised exercise program is required to improve the condition of the body as a whole.

Mental Health

Journaling has become very popular in recent years with a plethora of physical notepads and downloadable templates available on the likes of Etsy, and with good reason:

The following are some of the benefits of Journaling

  • Improved Mental Health.

  • Builds Self-Confidence.

  • Boosts Emotional Intelligence.

  • Help with Achieving Goals.

  • Inspires Creativity.

  • Boosts Memory.

  • Enhances Critical Thinking Skills.

There are also journaling apps which have the benefit of always being with you. Day One is a popular version that is free to use with premium options if required and its available for Apple & Android.
