Food production is one of the biggest contributors to climate change, but one third of all food is wasted. Toast are doing their bit to change that. And the profits go to charities fixing the food system.

When it comes to recycling, paper coffee cups are not the answer!
It turns out, due to the plastic lining that keeps paper cups from disintegrating when coming into contact with hot liquid, paper cups are not a great option in the quest for recyclable solutions .
Also many cup manufacturers use a number of substances, many of which are toxic.
And even though recycling has been around for a while people still simply don’t do it—currently only 4% of all paper cups are recycled in the UK. And for those precious few that do make it to the recyclers the plastic coating proves difficult for recycling centers to deal with.
The best option, if you want to reduce your impact, get yourself a steel cup with a heat proof jacket.

Mixology
The Tom Collins:
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 tsp sugar (or ½ oz simple syrup)
Soda water to fill
Process:
Add all ingredients beside the soda water to a shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into a glass of ice. Fill the rest of the glass with soda water. Garnish with a slice of lemon and your done.
