Statues, Bikers, Rockers and a Big Drop
Hi!
Welcome to my newsletter, where I share my latest discoveries and experiences in the world of music, art, books, podcasts, and products.
Each edition is carefully curated to showcase what I have come across during the preceding week.
Feel free to forward this to anyone you think may be interested in receiving this newsletter on a regular basis, but don’t worry you can unsubscribe at any time.
Great images, books, magazines, beer, and products. Thought-provoking articles and design.

Voyageur
I came across this sculpture on my last walk along the river.
‘Voyageur’, by Bruno Catalano, will be at the Riverside Walk Garden in Millbank until September 2023.
COOL LOCATION
St Pauls on Vauxhall bridge!
To see it, head along the upriver side of the bridge, stop by the second iron column, and look over the parapet, in the hands of the statue that represents architecture you will find the miniature of St Pauls Cathedral.
EDC - Linkax LED torch
The Linkax LED torch is my go-to torch for everyday use. Small enough to fit in a pocket but strong enough to put up with the knocks of a workday.
Made from solid aluminum alloy this is an 800-lumen torch with floodlight or spotlight; plus 5 modes: high, medium, low, strobe, and SOS. It’s also waterproof and shock resistant,
I purchased mine from Amazon and there are several that look appear to be similar, but this is the version I own and the price is currently £7.99
Music I’m listening to
Tito & Tarantula
If you have seen the film Dusk til Dawn you will recognise this band, they have a great sound.

Masters of Street photography
Masters of Street Photography
I have a love of street photography and its ability to capture everyday life in our towns and cities. This book unveils some of the techniques used by 16 prominent figures in the genre. With interviews, stunning images, and in-depth technical details, you get a glimpse into the photographers' creative processes.
This is an invaluable resource for aspiring street photographers as well as those that appreciate life in our urban environments.

Indian Larry
One of my bike-building heroes
Indian Larry was a custom motorcycle builder based in Brooklyn, NY.
The Indian Larry name came from the chopped Indian motorcycle he used to ride around New York in the 80s.
He died in 2004, shortly after this was filmed, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident while performing a stunt.
If you would like to see more of Larry and his creations he was part of the Discovery Channel programs Motorcycle Mania II with Jesse James and Biker Build-Off.
Beer of the week - with a difference
Big Drop Brewing Co Paradiso Citra IPA 0.5% Alcohol-Free
Big Drop Alcohol free IPA
This award-winning IPA is well worth a try, and yes it is alcohol-free.
It has a really refreshing taste from the Citra hops and unlike a lot of alcohol-free beers, I would happily drink this on a night out.
Available at most supermarkets or from Big Drop Brewing direct here
HOPS
CHINNOOK, CASCADE, SIMCOE, CITRA & COLUMBUS
Coffee Time
Costa Coffee is still the UK’s favourite.
In a survey conducted by World Coffee Portal, the British public was asked to reveal their go-to coffee shop. For the 13th year in a row, Costa Coffee has once again emerged as "The Nation's Favourite,".
Even with the pandemic and the cost of living crisis Costa Coffee has proven itself to be an indispensable part of people's lives.
And with pubs and bars closing up and down the country there seems to be no shortage of new coffee establishments.
Talking of new coffee outlets Worcester Park has a new coffee establishment “The Little Coffee Club”.
Located just off the high street at the entrance to the Waitrose car park you will find their coffee trailer complete with outdoor seating.
